Very Long (75,6 cm) Katana 長刀 with original old Koshirae

Very rare long blade as well also thin and slender, showing elegant lines

Long Katana Blade measures:

Cutting edged: 75,6
Nagasa: 74,8 cm.
Sori: 1,5 cm.
Moto-haba: 2,85 cm.
Saki-haba: 1,75 cm.
Moto-gasane: 0,7 cm.
Saki-gasane: 0,45 cm.
Total length in Koshirae: 100,4 cm

Hamon 波紋: Suguha with Notare combined
Hada: Masame/Muji (reveals an extraordinary forging work)

Mei: 清光 (清盈)

Swordsmith: Satsuma Kiyomitsu 薩摩清光 (清盈)

Age: Kyōhō 享保 era (from July 1716 through April 1736)

Blade condition:

A small fault (about 3 mm decreasing in two millimeter more) along with two tight lines os three and six millimeters long respectively and another equally very thin line between two and three millimeters long on the opposite side of the blade (please watch the picture marked with (*) where you can see detailed lines close-up on a augmented size) something that a good Togishi (polisher master) can restore while polishing the blade if it is deemed appropriate to do so, but it is well and I think is appropriate to leave the blade in its current condition (that at the discretion of the buyer of course). The razor edge is maintained but the polishing is very old from experience of other blades, surely at least eighty years old, perhaps more. This blade remains solid with all its forms without current or old rust, also out of black spots worthy of mention only light like mist very shallow due to the old polishing but in general the current polish is very decent.
Summarizing a blade of exceptional quality and very rare long measure with the logical minimum defects apropiates of its age being as we indicated of old polishing.

Koshirae 拵え:

It preserves an antique Koshirae, it is even possible that it is from the time of the blade restored later in an indeterminate period, in any case old

Tsuka (柄):
Wood: Honoki (Hinoki 檜 Japanese Cypress)
Kashira 頭: Water buffalo horn 水牛の角
Fuchi: Fine and rare work. Copper alloy 銅合金 Japanese enamel black 七宝芸術 covered
Same: Ray skin
Tsuka-ito (柄糸): Natural Silk
Menuki couple: Gold dragon 竜

Seppa (切羽): Copper work covered of a Solid Gold sheet. Traditional fine handwork
Habaki 鎺: Copper alloy 銅合金 two ensambled parts
Tsuba 鐔: Buddhist-inspired wheel in open-work wrought forged iron.

Wood: Honoki (Hinoki 檜 Japanese Cypress)

Koshirae condition:

Compact and fit all its parts perfectly. The Tsuba shows the superficial patina of its age (estimated as from the age of the blade). The Ito had to be replaced in the last decades (something usual). The lacquer of the Saya is surely the old original, that is why it has loss of shine and slight lines. All according to being an ancient Koshirae.

Bukuro 袋 (Katana bag also called because the fonetical translation "Fukuro"):
Katana bag made fabric silk yellow golden tones with dragons embroidered. It is a contemporary but traditional work.
